You Afraid Dark
Do not Be Afraid of the Dark
I once had a dream. I had just a few shops in the town square and began to feel restless and ready to go and as I started walking to my car so I can go home. There was a hill at the edge of the square if I was his road and is around the corner, a mere five minutes walk to my car should have been. I say, "should be" because once I started and off the pitch step my foot of the slope began to produce something strange. Each step I have taken the place of increasingly encounter darkness. It was weird. I went full light of day, return to room Pitch Black could not see a thing around me the darkness in a matter of a few steps. Despite my blindness, I felt again wonder how I knew exactly where I was and how to find my way to where I wanted to be, but not with the ability to review, my feeling inside, with the evidence visible from the outside I started to doubt myself. And the more I choose my doubts repellent to my first confirmation sense of the interior has been more intense, until finally I reached the top of a blown panic. I have failed to take a step further. I felt so afraid of the dark Lost, and turn evil or walk so far into the nothingness that I would not able find my way even if I wanted, there is no role that even in the midst of my fear, I am nevertheless always thought of most feared second passage on the spot, I just left. It did not matter because at that time, was the place where the light was. It was a place where everything I do has become so familiar obsolete. I turned around and went back to the mountain back to replace in the light of day, even in the boredom of a Groundhog Day (see Bill Murray) in the square and when darkness was lifted and I found myself in a position not only felt but clearly visible in my environment, I left a feeling of fear, feelings of defeat. I then realized that all I managed to do so by returning to this place has been around me all I wanted to leave behind them. I jump, because if loose. Why had I allowed the darkness to intimidate me so when I knew (because some something in me says, yes, screaming at me) I can still find my way in the dark? And this was with the capacity any where I could see was to see that reminded me of things I wish I could get rid of?
The metaphor for this dream was not at all difficult to find by myself. Although the situation is it something the other side of the world, as many scenarios dream in the rule that feeling that I experienced this dream in a very sympathetic to the emotional experience my career, I was used to in terms of direction, my "Waking Life" to do right now. I could see now that I had to have my fear of uncertainty, this area of my life to help Taking Chances outside the scope of my comfort zone and I had to pay dearly for that decision before a severe case of trouble. My dream was just me trying to make that choice, I about my career to take was seen in a different context. In this taught me something very good dream to the point of anxiety in general, not only as it related to my career.
Fear is the rebellious child of uncertainty. And in the dark can be an intimidating thing, because it gives us something most of us not rely on the use – our intuition forces leave, our sixth (inner) meaning. We are more comfortable to put our trust in things seen in our five senses secular. We want the eyes to see things with our own before we extend our confidence for them. We do not release much confidence in the leadership of our good and our senses only if any transaction is to us that we 'll be worried. Suddenly, we're not so sure, even the things in the light of sunny days that we never in doubt. We want examination basically we have with our experience of things through our five senses, and when we do not have this "proof" is a question. All causes doubt. And in this spiritual environment, the fear was a fertile ground to grow and prosper, and the impact our experience of life in a way which prevents our spiritual growth. But here's what I learned from my experience in the dark:
- There are moments in my life as I see now that I struggled to stay in the containment space of my comfort zone, even after it became painfully clear to me that this was a position that does not serve me. I know this can be a stumbling block for me, so I try Now remember to stay in my case, fresh life where I can repeat those same mistakes.
- I learn that out of my comfort zone, despite my fears are ultimately what made me free from my (supposed) limitations. There is an expression that I love that I once heard, Sally Field when she was in an interview that fear "is where that information." So, if you can bring it opens new worlds of all your fears off for you.
- I learn not to deny my fears (I realize now that I can not win, I can see for themselves what is to deny), I choose rather than just my fears weather. Hear By this, I just choose to be aware of my fears, to be honest with myself, although I live on them or leave my fears of the power to refuse to influence my decisions. This action, but I know that my fears I can not prove it in this area and I do not allow them have power over me. I learn that my fears may be challenged and ultimately overcome by my spite of pressure on them.
- And one of my hardest lesson yet … I learn not to over the fact that when I walk on faith as I never know how things are going place in question, can I get to be in agreement with that uncertainty. Instead of dwelling on what could go wrong, because I can not see every street corner (if I am I walk in darkness "), I look at the corner focus firmly on the wonder and amazement that only comes from not knowing at all. And is an important thing to remember – if you're not on the uncertainty, you do never win the miracle! I am learning not to panic in case of pain or trouble strikes. I learn, but take the long view of my experiences life. I'm learning to accept that sometimes problems are an essential prerequisite, a necessary preparation for something unusual wonderful. And you've developed to make room for your life story, you must be willing to see the pain and weather the storms of life by the experience to recognize the beauty of the sun after the storm. And there's nothing else in the world like a sun after the storm.
I always say: "I know ING" because the claims all such agreements progress of works. There is always a new fear because there is always the next (supposed) limitations are resolved. Faith must grow to know no limits. But even if I'm still learn, perhaps these lessons, I am learning is to do in my darkness of some use in your life. Although this kind of experience when it seems that if you move in your life with nothing tangible to execute, as sinister and dangerous, they must occur at regular intervals in the moments all human experience. They are created to teach us something very precious. You are our chance to be worn by faith (see instead). They are our chance, the true light in a trust, which is the light source rather than relying on artificial light, we see great in the world.
