Hip Flasks: The Hep Choice
Hip Flasks are generally used to hold distilled drinks in and it is made to a size that is perfect for your trousers. Most often you will find hip flasks made out of stainless steel and it will have a leather cover, it is just decorative. Hip flasks found its origin sometime in the 18th century has continued to remain popular with the masses. In fact just recently the “Modern Drunkard Magazine” voted hip flasks as the best present one can give anyone and of course it should have something in.
Hip flasks often have engravings on it, it could be an important date or short quotes or signs or toasts. It serves as a good souvenir. Hip flasks are very famous even today. I know of so many people who own hip flasks and cannot do without them. Many a time’s hip flasks are associated with alcoholics since they are the ones who love drinks the best. But you will be surprised to know that many non alcoholics own hip flasks, they are not always associated with booze. In fact in the Royal Air Force “hip flask” is used as a code for revolver. It is Strange but very true.
You can get hip flasks anywhere. If you are lazy to go out and buy it, you can just buy it off the internet. You will find several places online that will get you a nice hip flask. You have lots to choose from. You have a wide choice online, you can choose from the hammered stainless steel, stainless steel, civil war flask. You can also get yourself hip flasks in different shapes, you get them heart shaped, Golf putter hip flask, 6 oz cushion hip flask, round contemporary hip flask and so many more. You can also get yourself hip flasks covered with leather or engraved with your favourite quote or engrave something on it. It does make for a very special and different gift for absolutely any occasion, especially since you can personalize it.
Most of the Hip flasks are made of stainless steel with a leather cover for decoration. Most hip flasks are quite small, but enough for one person to have a few drinks. There’s many types of hip flasks: Leather Biker Flask, Hammer Flask, Binocular Flask, Steel Flask, Cell Phone Flask and Flask Key Chain. Really good hip flasks have a glass lining. This prevents any “metallic flavour” leaching from the metal body into the drink. Some of this flasks come with small cups or funnels to make sharing easier, although generally liquid is drunk directly from the flask.
So next time you are racking your head over what to get a close friend or an old uncle or someone who enjoys a drink, just go and get a hip flask. It is a neat gift to give and you can bet that they will appreciate it. It will indeed be a very different gift and feel free to personalize it as much as you want, make it as special as you care to.
