Audio Books – a brief history of audio books audio
The popularity of audio books, but has exploded recently, they have much that you think may have been. Read and learn, when and who started it and why it took so long to actually wear – and why they are now.

* When do you think of audio books started: You seem fairly recent audio books for you? I remember that "the first audio books" on tape in the mid 80s. And I'm really old, so maybe your first memory is younger!
I remember a couple very large boxes for things like The Lord of the Rings (sold on ebay … I would not!) And they were cut (cut funding drastically reduced the length for some reason)
Since then there has been an explosion in the market audiobook. For millions of people, with MP3 music, audio books, emblematic of the Internet era of enlightenment and flexibility information!
* Why are audiobooks so popular today?: With me as an example: Once I realized how it's good for some things, there was no stopping me –
* They are excellent for learning. Whether business, self-improvement, or to study in my case now, Swedish.
* They are ideal for children to learn by all accounts, but I can not give you my own experience here when I'm 36!
* To the great joy of reading! For fiction, where the books would be normal impossible (for example, in the dark or while driving or working out) or if you just want pushed the book "in" instead if you cover your eyes.
* So, if the audio books were "invented": Around the early 1980s, perhaps? No.
With emphasis currently placed on audiobook CDs, DVDs, Download WMA, MP3, iPods, etc., you would think they are very young. But you'd be wrong. Audiobooks started long ago.
For a handle on what is good to step back and define exactly what audio books are.
* In fact, audio books are any book that has registered to be heard, instead of reading.
* How did they do as long as possible, the picture was?
Not quite. To be more precise, it is safe to say they were first introduced nearly 50 years. It is in the sense to be outside the circles of professional broadcasting.
* Who were the first publishers of audio books?: Robin Whitten, editor and founder of the magazine, the only one devoted exclusively to the audiobook industry credits Caedmon (now a subsidiary of Harper Collins Publishers) records the literature as far back as 50 years ago.
He tells us that Caedmon, then a small company in New York, the audio recording of large writers and poets, began in the 1950s. Specifically, he indicated that some early recordings have been by big names such as Dylan Thomas, TS Eliot, Robert Frost and Fitzgerald.
At that time, they were simply recorded while their own work and as hard vinyl. Not exactly ideal for jogging, but these early recordings can be considered the first collection of audio books to be established.
However, the transition of these records audio book is in the late 1970s to occur before 1980 when you see the size of the market, first in the audio-cassette, grew accepted by most "sophisticated" early Consumer Profile.
The audio book phenomenon is not really kick off until the mid-1990s.

Not surprisingly, like many technology related products:
An) Easy to use / quality: Vinyl – limited use. Try one in an S-Bahn, or when driving. Err no. Caution is scratched, fucking ruined it, etc.
Cassettes – the total pain, limited storage and it self-destructed with terrifying frequency.
In early portable CD players were not portable and expensive – If you've ever tried to run with the train or you know what I mean!
Now, with iPod MP3 players and there are no moving parts, so you can listen in the development, implementation, or anything else if a CD would be useless. You can even hear the players and waterproof, while water-skiing or diving breath!
2) Cost: Early CD players and later, MP3 were very expensive. For the CD units, wow, they really cost lot of money!
But now, all kinds of CD and MP3 players are so low that the cost barrier material has disappeared.

Some of those early 1950s analog recordings from Caedmon conducted by the size of the time can be purchased online.
You will find that you still have the classic in the audio-book, if you look hard enough on the Internet, where audiobooks in size, Find quality and sophistication that would have been seen dreamed, like science fiction, even 15 years!
As E-book trend is to develop in the context of local libraries in the summer in full swing, many take the opportunity to get in some summer reading. But a new trend means that some do it without actually recording a book.
